Untitled (Figures in a City Square), 1939

The background to these figures is a composite view of Edinburgh. The area to the left of the figures evokes the view down to the Scott Monument from South St David's Street and the area to the right duplicates part of a drawing Edwin made of Drummond Place in November 1939. The cheeky angels with watering cans come from a fertile imagination!
