The Resurrection, 1940
Can't resist posting this picture again, for 2 reasons: it's coming up for Easter and also the painting will be exhibited in the forthcoming exhibition "Edwin G Lucas: A Purely Individual Painter" which will be held at Hawick Museum & Gallery from 05 Jul - 05 Oct 2025.
It's called "The Resurrection" and was painted in March 1940. It was one of two of Edwin's paintings exhibited in the Society of Scottish Artists' 1940 exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy Gallery in Edinburgh.
