Bourne Fine Art Exhibition

The exhibition at Bourne Fine Art, Edinburgh in March and April 2014 developed the theme of the paintings that had recently been purchased for the national collection. It included Edwin's first surrealist work, painted in 1939, and illustrated the influence of Surrealism on the unorthodox, experimental work he would produce during the next dozen years.

None of the works on display had been shown in public since 1951. An excellent preview article by Colin Gleadell was published in The Telegraph.
