The Balerno Branch and the Mills of the Water of Leith

A dozen of Edwin's paintings were exhibited in Colinton Library from 29 Nov to 2 Dec 2017, coinciding with some of the Pentlands Book Festival events there. The theme was the railway line and mills that were such a feature of the Water of Leith when Edwin painted them in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The exhibition also coincided with the launch of The Tunnel, an ambitious project to create murals throughout the old railway tunnel at Colinton.
