The Shape of the Night by Edwin G Lucas and The Cello Player by William Crosbie
Edwin's 1939 painting "The Shape of the Night" is back on display at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art (on Level 2 of Modern One). The new display is titled "Surrealism: Picturing the Strange" and show-cases Scotland’s world class collection of surrealist art. It features international stars such as Salvador Dalí, Dorothea Tanning, Max Ernst, René Magritte, Joan Miró and Toyen. Scotland is represented by Edwin Lucas and William Crosbie.
