Edwin's paintings help inspire new mural in Spylaw Park
An opening ceremony for a new mural in Spylaw Park was held on 27 May 2017. The mural was commissioned by Colinton Village Events to decorate their "shed" in Spylaw Park, and created by the S1 pupils at Firrhill High School.
They looked at Edwin's paintings of the Water of Leith from the 1930s and 1940s as a source of inspiration for a series of designs. A judging panel selected the winning designs and the pupils painted these on the front wall of the shed during a 4-day period in May. I think you'll agree they're very impressive - congratulations to everyone involved!
