Wester Hailes from Baberton, 1946
During the 1930s and 40s, Edwin often painted the view eastward from Baberton. In those days this view consisted of trees/farmland and, in the middle distance, the buildings and chimney of Wester Hailes Farm. Far removed from today's Wester Hailes tower blocks! This painting was made 80 years ago this month, being dated "10/46".
