Forthcoming ExhibitionA new exhibition of Edwin's work, Edwin G Lucas: A Purely Individual Painter, will be held at the Hawick Museum & Gallery, from 05 Jul - 05 Oct 2025. The exhibition will feature over forty artworks drawn from public and private collections. It will cover the whole of his career, but with a particular focus on his Surrealist period and the unique body of innovative work he created later.

This striking self portrait is undated, but painted circa 1947 because the two paintings in the background were painted in 1946 and 1947. It's been chosen to feature on the posters for the forthcoming exhibition "Edwin G Lucas: A Purely Individual Painter" which will be held at Hawick Museum & Gallery from 05 Jul - 05 Oct 2025.
