Pentland Hills from Kingsknowe, Winter, 1947
This painting was acquired by the City of Edinburgh art collection in 2003. The subject is one of Edwin's favourite views, from the gardens of some of the houses of Kingsknowe, across the Water of Leith valley, to the Pentland Hills. Caerketton Hill and Allermuir Hill are particularly prominent.
