During 2020, Pictures of the Month marked the 70th anniversary of Edwin's first solo exhibition by featuring 12 of the paintings he exhibited in April 1950.
Two of the paintings were called Head of a Clown, although they are very different from one another. This one was painted in 1946. The other, painted the following year, is now in the National Collection, see the National Galleries website.
