Hi-Fi Cabinet No.1, Front & Side, circa 1940s
These are the pictures Edwin painted on the front and side of the Hi-Fi Cabinet that we featured last month. We believe the cabinet was made circa 1944 and it seems reasonable to think it may have been painted around the same time. If so, these pictures could be regarded as Edwin's first purely abstract works.
